Red Deer Real Estate Market Report in MarchAll evidence indicated the Red Deer real estate market was in full swing during March, as is the norm at Springtime. Listings in March increased marginally over February new listings (by 0.9%), while sales increased by 13.2%. Sales numbered 154 properties in the overall Red Deer real estate market compared to 136 properties in February and 148 properties last March. The median sale price of $290,000 dropped below February’s median of $298,500 and last March when it was $292,000. Actively seeking successful sales, listing prices were slightly lower, on average, and accepted prices were 97.5% of list price. Average days to sell in overall Red Deer numbered 42. In Anders, Inglewood, Lancaster and Vanier, March new listings numbered 55, while 39 properties found new owners. The sales number increased over February sales by 21.9% while listings declined by 14.1%. The median sale price of $340,000 was 1.5% higher than one month ago and 3.5% higher than one year ago. Sellers, on average, negotiated 98.1% of their asking price. Average days to sell in these particular communities was 35.
