Red Deer Real Estate Market Report in February
The Red Deer real estate market recorded substantial increased activity in February this year compared to both the month and year before.
Overall, real estate in Red Deer recorded a 58% increased sales during February (136) compared to January results and 32% higher than sales of February 2011. Days on market dropped to 41 and the median sale price recorded at $298,000, an increase of 2.2%. New listings of Red Deer homes offered during February numbered 221, 34.8% higher than January, but 3.1% fewer than one year ago.
In Anders, Inglewood, Lancaster and Vanier, sales topped January results by 39.1% and were 52.4% higher than last February. 32 Properties found new owners at a median price of $335,000 ( 4.3% below January’s median). Average days to sell were 36. Listings coming to market numbered 64, increased over January new listings and listings last February by 64.1% and 77.8% respectively.
On average, Sellers realized 97.4% of asking price this February.
