Activity in the Red Deer real estate market this November followed the trend of other Albertan markets – an increase in sales compared to October results, and a decline in listings coming to market.

Overall, compared to last year, listings declined by 28.5% and sales increased by 10.6%. The median sale price in the overall Red Deer real estate market in November this year was $285,000, on par with one month ago. Sellers realized 97.0% of their asking price in an average of 58 days.
In the acreage market, 11 properties changed hands during November at a median sale price of $380,000. 4 Properties offered fewer than 2 acres. The median price of these subdivision acreages was $482,500. 5 Acreages offered 3 - 5 acres at a median sale price of $270,000 for a bare parcel of 4.83 acres, 10 minutes from Red Deer. 2 Properties that sold in Red Deer County this November offered more than 6 acres of land. One such property was on the market for more than 6 months offering an older home and 6.3 acres of land. The other parcel was a unique opportunity to own 16+ acres less than 7 minutes from Red Deer. A beautiful walkout, with large shop, it bordered the Blindman Ridge and had been offered for sale for over a year.
